Hello! This is the page for The Big Toy Swap- Bath! This is going to be a great chance to do christmas shopping for your children without spending any money, at the same time as helping be more sustainable in our gift giving! Please follow along for updates and feel free to message if you have any questions that aren’t covered below:
THE BIG TOY SWAP - FAQ’s
⭐️When: Friday 20th November | 7-9PM
Our aim is simple: help make Christmas more affordable, give preloved children's items a new home and reduce the amount of perfectly good stuff going to landfill. In the weeks beforehand we will be receiving and storing donations (read more about that below), ready to find new loving homes at the toy swap. You can drop in at any point during the evening.
⭐️What: The Big Toy Swap is a completely free event where parents can donate preloved children's items (ages 0-10 years) and take home things that other children no longer need. You don't have to donate anything to take something, and you don't have to take anything if you donate. It's all about sharing, sustainability and making some friends on the way. There will be light refreshments and space to sit, so please feel free to invite your friends!
⭐️Where: St Luke’s Church, Wellsway, BA2 2BD. We will NOT be in the main church, but in the lower hall which can be accessed at the back of the church (there will be signs!). There is limited street parking. Toilets will be available.
⭐️Who: Any parents, grandparents, aunties, uncles, carers, early years practitioners are welcome to come along and find gifts for their children. We will be taking donations of toys that would suit children age 0-10 years.

What can I donate? We would love to find new homes for your preloved…
-Toys in clean and fair condition
-Games & puzzles (please check they are complete)
-Fancy dress costumes
-Christmas themed clothing
-Childrens books
-Stocking fillers
-Craft supplies, new or gently used are welcome. Paints, pens, colouring books, pipe cleaners etc
Where do I drop donations off?
We would love to have your donations before the day of the event so we can sort and display them. We may be able to collect them but would be very grateful if you were able to bring them to St. Luke’s in the week beforehand- just let us know what time.
What happens to items left at the end?
Everything must find a home!
Anything remaining at the end will either be taken by attendees, put on FBMP, donated to a local charity or, last case scenario, taken to the recycling centre. If you are part of a nursery, playgroup, children's home or similar organisation, and would like to take a larger quantity of remaining items at the end, please speak to the organisers.
