About this Event
Join Big Haynes Creek Nature Center for a fun, interactive experience on Friday, October 2, from 6:30 pm to 8 pm, as we learn about our favorite night-flying mammals and search for bat activity in the wetlands!
Bat Biologist of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources will discuss bat ecology and the huge role they play in conservation. They'll be a live demo of an echo locator device which will be used to discover the many types of bats that call Big Haynes home. They'll also be a "bat-creation station" and fun bat giveaways!
If the weather does clear up, we can also step out to detect bats in the field just behind the pavilion to detect bats in the sky!
This is a FREE, family-friendly event. All ages are welcome!
Space is limited, so advanced registration is required to secure a spot.
