Overview
A practical and interactive one-day course designed to build knowledge and confidence in stroke and neurorehabilitation. Attendees will explore the theory, evidence, and lived experience of stroke care while developing hands-on strategies to enhance their clinical practice.
Course Aims
• By the end of the study day, participants will:
• Understand the basic neuroanatomy of stroke and its impact on function.
• Develop skills in assessing and managing common post-stroke impairments (cognitive, visual, upper limb, tone/spasticity).
• Explore evidence-based rehabilitation approaches and guidelines (RCP, SSNAP).
• Engage in interactive case discussions to apply learning to real-world scenarios.
• Reflect on the patient journey through a first-hand account, enhancing compassionate, patient-centred care.
