[English below] Listasmiðja í Grasagarði Reykjavíkur laugardaginn 12. apríl kl. 11:00-13:00 þar sem fjallað er um plöntur í útrýmingarhættu! Á Íslandi eru 56 tegundir æðplantna á válista Náttúrufræðistofnunar. Ein tegund er útdauð á Íslandi, átta tegundir eru í bráðri hættu. Í smiðjunni, sem verður stjórnað af Ásthildi Jónsdóttur, verða gerð verk sem heiðra fegurð og mikilvægi þessara tegunda sem eru í hættu. Með skapandi nálgun gefst gestum tækifæri til að verða talsmenn viðkvæmustu plantna náttúrunnar með aðferðum myndlistar. Lögð verður áhersla á endurnýttan efnivið á sama tíma og gestir læra um hvaða mikilvægu hlutverki þessar plöntur gegna í vistkerfum okkar. Viðburðurinn verður spennandi blanda af list og náttúruvernd! Þátttaka er ókeypis og öll velkomin!

Join us for a family art workshop dedicated to raising awareness about endangered plants! In Iceland there are a total of 56 species on list of vascular plants. One species is extinct and eight species are critically endangered. In this hands-on experience, you'll create powerful protest signs and badges that honor the beauty and importance of these threatened species. Express your creativity while advocating for nature’s most vulnerable plants. With a focus on recycled materials guests learn about the critical role these plants play in our ecosystems and help spread the message in a blend of art, activism, and nature conservation!
