Led by David Mitchell (who has been playing ceilidhs for over 25 years) the ‘Barn
Owls Ceilidh Band’ is the collective name of the great musicians we at Folky Owls have got to know through gigs and playing together over many years.
The band is put together for each special event and, for Wimborne Minster Folk Festival, we have a great line-up ready to get you dancing with tunes old and new! Guitarist David Mitchell (with added octave pedal for ceilidhs!), fantastic fiddler Rupert Kirby and the brilliant Doug Morgan on mandolin. For calling the dances, we have the amazing Matt Aldous - probably with some bonus bodhran to add into the mix!
