Join us for Barktoberfest, a paws-itively fun event celebrating all things dog-related with games, contests, & treats for our furry friends!

Barktoberfest is finally here! Join us at Bigelow Brewing Company for a paw-some day filled with wagging tails, cold beers, and furry friends. This in-person event is a dog-friendly celebration that you won't want to miss. Bring your four-legged pals and enjoy a day of fun activities, delicious food, and great company.

There will be vendors, live music, the Texican food truck, vendors, a raffle table and Conjuring Carroll will be roaming the crowd that day, spreading magic everywhere!

The fun will kick off at noon with The Song Pirates, who will be playing the entire event for us this year!

The big event, the Doggie Costume Contest will begin at 2pm, so make sure you register your pup at the door when you come in!

There are cash prizes for the top 3 winners and 3 additional categories to win as well!!!

Prizes:

🥇 1st Place – $150 cash + doggie goodie bag

🥈 2nd Place – $100 cash + doggie goodie bag

🥉 3rd Place – $75 cash + doggie goodie bag

Special Categories (prize for each: $50 cash + doggie goodie bag each):

✨ Best Duo -can be owner & dog OR 2 dogs with coordinating costumes

🍔 Best Food-Inspired Costume – Hot dogs, tacos, pumpkins, beer mugs... lots of possibilities!

🎨 Most Creative – Best original or clever idea

With all these categories, there’s a chance for every pup to shine! Don’t miss the fun....your furry friend could walk away with tail wags and treasure, all while helping shelter pets in need.

* While there is a $10 general admission fee per person for the event, there is no fee to enter the costume contest. Just sign up at the door before 2 pm.

Info: There is a $10 per person admission fee for all adults. Free admission for anyone under 18 years old. This fee helps support the Somerset Humane Society's mission.

Info: Sign up your dog (or dogs) for the Doggie Costume Contest upon entering the event. There is no fee to enter the contest. There are 6 winning categories and cash prizes for each!

Info: We have a wonderful assortment of fabulous raffle prizes to be won during this event! Each entry fee comes with 2 raffle tickets! You can purchase more tickets at the SHS Merch table if you want to increase your chances of winning an item! Drawing starts at 3pm, and goes through 5pm. You do not have to be present to win, just make sure you put your phone number on each ticket. **You are responsible for coming to pick up your winning items at the shelter within 14 days if you are not present to win at the event.
