Bardic Inspiration: A Dungeons & Dragons program for young people!
Join local bards (aka theatre artists) Rosemary Morrison and friends for an exciting Dungeons & Dragons program! This weekly afterschool program invites young adventurers of Westview Elementary grades 5-7 to dive into the fantastical world of Dungeons & Dragons (D&D). Participants will create their unique fantasy characters, learn the gameplay mechanics of D&D, and explore an imaginative world full of adventure each week! D&D experience is welcome, but not required. Materials will be provided.
- Fridays, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM
- September 25th - December 11th (No sessions October 23rd, November 20th, and December 4th)
- Ages 10-15*
- Cost: $350 + GST ($35/ session x 10 weeks)
Playing D&D is a great way for young people to engage creatively and build community! Participants will practice:
Self-expression through the creation of a fantasy character.
Collaborative problem-solving by working through challenges and puzzles together.
Storytelling and worldbuilding skills as their actions guide the story each week.
Social and emotional skills through role-play/improv.
