Finding Joy in Harmony: Where Voices and Community Meet$10.00 at the door
Refreshments will be available.
The Heart of Pennsylvania Women's Barbershop Chorus isn't just about singing; it's a weekly sanity break where diverse women find joy, support, and lasting friendships through the power of a cappella singing. We're a welcoming, energetic, and forward-thinking community, dedicated to mastering the barbershop style while exploring how our voices and performances can truly move people. More than just harmony, we offer a vibrant, supportive space where caring women lift each other up in the service of making something beautiful, together.
Our chorus is made up of 20 unique voices. We sing together in four-part harmony, consisting of:
Tenor (high harmony): Emily Paine, Marissa Mitchel, and Alyce Reavis
Lead (melody line): Caitlin Meleski, Chris Tsai, Clare Sammells, Emily Heuer, Harshanee Jayasekera, Michelle Sites-Reitz, and Nancy Frazier
Baritone (middle harmony): Dee Casteel, Karen Castle, Morgan Reibsome, and Moria Chambers
Bass (chorus anchor): Sarah Lower, Dara Scheidler, Kevena Espinoza, Laurel Fox, Lauren Cohen, and Tiffany Morgan
For this performance, the audience can expect a mix of full chorus and small-group quartet numbers, including selections from our recent competition set “The Goodbye Medley” and “Beginning to See the Light,” fresh from the area contest in Syracuse, NY. The program blends classic barbershop with familiar favorites, offering a range of styles and moods, from upbeat tunes like “Rockin’ Robin” to empowering anthems like “I Will Survive.” Whether polished competition pieces or crowd-pleasing arrangements, each song reflects our shared commitment to musical excellence and genuine connection with our audience.
