Banned & BrewedReading what they tried to silence.
This month, we’re reading The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini.
Set against the backdrop of a changing Afghanistan, The Kite Runner follows Amir and Hassan, two boys whose friendship is forever altered by betrayal, guilt, and the consequences of one life-changing moment. Years later, Amir is given a chance to confront his past and seek redemption. It’s a powerful story about friendship, family, loyalty, regret, and the possibility of forgiveness.
