Bangalore by Post is a curated heritage walk that explores the evolution of postal communication in Bangalore during the colonial period. The walk focuses on Bangalore Cantonment and traces how communication systems developed from the 1860s to 1947.This is a research-driven experience that goes beyond buildings. Attendees will engage with original postal covers, postmarks, and archival material from Bangalore, offering a rare insight into how letters travelled, who used these systems, and what they reveal about everyday life in the city.
Led by philatelist Varun Khanna, the experience includes a focused showcase of philatelic artefacts and detailed explanations of postal systems during the colonial period.
