A night of queer short films, conversation and connection as part of a new short film night hosted by Film Hub North bringing together bold, brilliant stories from Northern filmmakers.
Funny, tender, messy, provocative, frightening, and deeply human, this programme’s focus is on queer stories. From forbidden feelings and complicated families to toxic love, identity, desire and the unexpected places we find each other, these films put queer voices front and centre.

Stuart Armstrong
Stuart Armstrong is a screenwriter and director from Cumbria, UK. His recent work includes queer Film Hub North and BFI NETWORK comedy short Meat Raffle (2025), multi award-winning micro short Lay-by (2024) and BIFA long-listed Beatles cult comedy short Paul Is Dead (2018). He is now in development on his debut feature.
