Resilience. On a phone. On a screen. In Ballina. The Ballina Smartphone Film Festival returns as part of Ballina Fringe Festival 2026 - a curated programme of short films, each made entirely on a smartphone, each with something urgent to say.
This year's theme is Resilience, and filmmakers have answered from every direction - with drama, humour, poetry and grit. No studio budgets. No camera crews. Just storytelling at its most direct.
We're also delighted to present an animation selection curated by Dodgy Lady, a brilliant, bold strand alongside the main programme.
Come for the films. Stay for the conversation.
