Traveling aboard the Center’s Eagle Shuttle, attendees travel to pre-scouted locations and receive a classroom-style educational program from an expert guide. These three-hour excursions are perfect for people ages 8 and up, including active seniors and individuals with mobility issues. The shuttle comfortably seats eight passengers, features large windows for wildlife viewing, and can accommodate up to two wheelchairs and additional spotting scopes and photography gear. Additionally, the smaller bus allows field trips groups to explore some locations off-limits to a full-sized coach bus.“Our field trip attendees always come away from the experiences with a wealth of new knowledge and greater appreciation for our natural resources, especially seeing Golden Eagles,” said Mehus. “Their excitement and the smiles on their faces say it all.”
