If you’ve danced to Blowzabella, this special event will have a familiar format – European dances including some English Ceilidh dances. We’re doing it because we want more Stroud people to discover and perhaps come to love Balfolk.
To make it work, we needed a great band that play great Ceilidh and great Balfolk. That’s a very rare skillset and Blowzabella were not available.
Then we went to Sidmouth Folk Festival last summer and discovered our old Balfolk friends Sawney White Bird playing a cracking ceilidh as “Sunbird”. So we’ve booked them for your dancing pleasure!
There will be two callers/workshop leaders to help you through the steps.
Tickets £15 via https://stroud.dance/cbbfs Advance booking strongly recommended as we’re only selling 60 tickets!
