About this Event
Indianapolis has been here before—but not exactly here.
In the 1990s, Indianapolis was confronting low academic performance, declining IPS enrollment, racial and economic inequities, dissatisfaction with existing governance structures, and a growing debate about whether families needed more educational choices.
Three decades later, Indianapolis has seen significant change. Yet we are still asking:
Are enough Indianapolis children learning at the level they need to thrive?
Join Dr. Aleesia Johnson (Superintendent, IPS), Brandon Brown (CEO, The Mind Trust), and Andrew Strope (Executive Vice President, IPEC) for a candid conversation about what Indianapolis has learned from 30 years of education reform—and what we must do differently now.
