Back to Basics: A Whisky Journey Through Scotland with The Whisky Lassie
Six whiskies. A journey through Scotland. A whole lot to discover! 🥃
Just when you thought your upcoming week long whisky celebrations couldn't get any better, The Whisky Lassie is coming to The Rogue to get you warmed up!
Join us on Saturday, November 14th, as we welcome Johanne McInnis, better known in the whisky world as The Whisky Lassie, for an afternoon of whisky discovery, great stories, and good company.
We're going back to basics, exploring Scotland's whisky regions through six carefully selected drams, with a special focus on lesser-known distilleries, hidden gems, and a few whiskies you may not have discovered yet.
Meet Your Host: The Whisky Lassie
Johanne has been sharing her love (and considerable knowledge!) of whisky for more than 15 years as a writer, independent whisky judge and panellist, masterclass presenter, educator, and storyteller.
Her passion has taken her to whisky festivals and tasting rooms here at home and across the pond, building quite the reputation along the way.
And if you know Johanne, you know this won't be the sort of whisky class where you're afraid to ask a question! Expect an approachable, entertaining experience filled with fascinating stories, plenty of laughs, and a little whisky wisdom.
🥃 The Whisky Lineup
We'll be exploring six distinctive whiskies, each offering something a little different:
- Lowlands: Lindores Lowland (new age Lowland distillery)
- Speyside: Aberlour A'Bunadh Alba 004
- Islands: Arran Malt 10yr
- Highlands: Deveron 12yr
- Islay: Kilchoman Loch Gorm Sherry Finish
- Independent Bottlers: Compass Box Spice Tree (one of the top independent whisky blenders/bottlers from the UK)
Whether you're just beginning your whisky journey or already have a well-stocked collection at home, there's always something new to discover.
