Build a Career That Makes a Difference! Are you thinking about becoming a social worker? Whether you're already a pre-major or just starting to explore, we invite you to join us for a fall orientation session.
This one-hour meeting is required for anyone interested in entering the Bachelor of Social Work program. It's designed to give you a clear picture of what lies ahead and answer your questions as you journey forward into the program.
During the orientation, we'll cover:
1. Program requirements and how to apply: We walk through the steps to get into the major and what you'll need to prepare.
2. Field placement and practicum: Learn how students gain hands-on experience through internships in community agencies and organizations.
3. Career pathways: Social work goes beyond the classroom. Discover the many settings where graduates work, from schools and healthcare to policy and advocacy.
You'll also meet our BSW program director, practicum faculty, hear from a current student, and learn about support resources available throughout your studies.
