For the first time in Bangladesh, BRAC University Sports is organizing the Ayesha Abed T10 Inter-University Women’s Cricket Tournament 2026, a national-level women’s cricket tournament bringing together 12 leading university from across the country.Tournament Details -
Date: 14–15 October 2026
Venue: BRAC University Multipurpose Hall (MPH)
Format: T-10 Indoor Cricket (10 overs per innings)
Squad: 15 Players + 1 Coach + 1 Manager
Players on the Field: 11
Total Teams: 12 University Teams
Participation: First Come, First Served
Eligibility: Currently Enrolled Female University Students
Bowling Rule: Overarm bowling only (Legal Delivery)
Registration Fee: No Entry Fee
Prize Pool: 155,000 BDT + Trophy + Award
Organized by BRAC University Sports & Fitness, the tournament is part of BRAC University’s Silver Jubilee celebration and honours the legacy of Ayesha Hasan Abed.
Beyond cricket, the tournament aims to promote women’s participation in sports and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 5: Gender Equality, SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
