Axe The Stigma - 2SLGBTQ+ Community Axe Throwing Event
Ready to axe some stigma and have a blast?
Axe the Stigma is an inclusive axe-throwing event bringing 2SLGBTQ+ community members across generations together to make connections, learn a new skill, access support resources and have fun in a welcoming environment.

This event was inspired by Rainbow Service Organizations' finding in their community needs assessment. One identified need was for more opportunities for 2SLGBTQ+ people to connect outside of traditional bars and nightlife spaces. See their report here: https://www.rainbowservice.org/queer-futures/
Axe the Stigma is about more than throwing axes. It is about creating opportunities for queer and trans people of different ages and backgrounds to share space, build relationships, and recognize that 2SLGBTQ+ families and communities are resilient, joyful and not going anywhere.
Through recreation, connection, and resource sharing, the event aims to challenge stigma around 2SLGBTQ+ identity and empower participants. This is also an opportunity to connect with local supports and community organizations.

Important information
All ages are welcome, provided participants are old enough and physically able to safely throw an axe. Axe Club staff will determine whether participants can safely participate.
Closed-toe shoes are required.
All participants will be required to sign a waiver before participating.
No previous axe-throwing experience is necessary.
