Some nights are worth the wait.On Saturday 26th September, Likeminded Music presents Awaited at our favourite Margate venue, Hoffs, welcoming one of the true pioneers of UK techno, Dave Angel.
A defining figure in British electronic music,
Dave Angel has spent more than three decades shaping the sound of techno.
From his seminal releases on R&S Records and the creation of Rotation Records, to his pioneering role during London's acid house explosion, his influence reaches far beyond the records themselves. His music remains as powerful, soulful and forward-thinking today as it was when it first emerged.
His return comes at a particularly exciting time, with the release of his long-awaited new album, A Time And Place, on 18th September via R&S Records. His first full-length album in over a decade, it sees Dave drawing on jazz, soul and improvisation, featuring collaborations with Robert Owens, Steve Waterman and Merv Carswell.
Following the release, Dave heads out on a special UK tour, with Margate as one of the select dates.
