Autumn Wildlife Walk - Ramsgate to Pegwell Bay
As part of the Ramsgate Autumn Festival join wildlife filmmaker Keith Ross on a relaxing stroll from Ramsgate to Pegwell Bay! It's the perfect chance to enjoy the crisp autumn air while spotting some local wildlife. Don’t forget your comfy shoes and a keen eye for birds and other critters!
Schedule
- 10:00 AM — Meet at Ramsgate Boating Pool
- Coastal walk towards Pegwell Bay
- Lunch break at Pegwell
- Afternoon exploration of the Nature Reserve
- 4:00 PM — Return and finish
What to bring
- Binoculars (some can be borrowed)
- Packed lunch
- Weather‑appropriate clothing
- Sturdy footwear suitable for uneven coastal paths

- Maximum of six participants to ensure a quiet, wildlife‑friendly experience.
- The walk includes uneven terrain and may be muddy in places.
- Please check the weather forecast and dress accordingly.
- The event will go ahead unless conditions are unsafe.

The route includes uneven ground, slopes, and natural coastal paths. Unfortunately, this walk is not suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters. If you have any accessibility questions, feel free to get in touch.

About your guide
Keith Ross is a wildlife filmmaker based in Ramsgate, known for his work documenting Kent’s coastal habitats. His work has featured on the BBC One Show, BBC Countryfile, BBC Springwatch & Winterwatch. Keith also mentors young filmmakers through the Kent Film Foundation.
