Fancy learning a new skill? Come along to another fantastic creative workshop with Carrie and discover the art of lino printing.This enjoyable 3‑hour workshop is ideal for absolute beginners, but is also perfect for those who’ve already had a little go at lino printing and would enjoy developing their skills in the friendly company of others.
You’ll begin by learning about the tools and materials used in lino printing, before creating a small texture block to practise basic carving techniques. Once you feel confident, you’ll move on to carving a leaf design into lino and learn how to print it by hand.
Inspired by the rich colours of autumn leaves, you’ll experiment with both plain and gradient colour printing to give your prints a warm, seasonal feel.
This relaxed and creative workshop is a wonderful introduction — or refresher — to lino printing and will give you the confidence to continue this calming artform at home
