Perfect for beginners, this hands-on workshop introduces participants to basic embroidery stitches while creating a charming seasonal design in a decorative mini hoop. Choose between a pumpkin or mushroom design, then follow along step-by-step as instructor Stephanie Alvarez of StitchAway Designs guides you through the stitching process.
No embroidery experience is needed—just come ready to slow down, learn something new, and enjoy a little creative time.
You’ll leave with new embroidery skills and a sweet handmade keepsake, perfect for displaying throughout the fall season or giving as a gift.

Stephanie Alvarez is the founder and designer behind StitchAway Designs, a handmade embroidery brand that blends creativity, craftsmanship, and purpose.
Through StitchAway Designs, Stephanie creates unique embroidered pieces while partnering with Cojolya, a fair-trade organization in Guatemala that works to preserve traditional textile arts and create economic opportunities for Indigenous women and their families.
Inspired by her family’s Guatemalan heritage, Stephanie celebrates the beauty of handmade work and the cultural traditions behind it. Her designs are rooted in the belief that something made by hand can carry a story, create connection, and spread a little joy.
Through her workshops, Stephanie shares her love of embroidery in a welcoming and approachable way, encouraging participants to slow down, get creative, and experience the satisfaction of making something by hand.
