Come and join us on Sunday 18th October 2026 at Essex Wildlife Trust Langdon Nature Discovery Centre, Basildon for a relaxed and enjoyable afternoon painting our Autumn Glow under the expert instruction of our workshop leader Sophie. No experience needed. You can either follow the step by step instructions or ‘express yourself’ by putting your own personal touches on it as much as you feel comfortable to do so. If you so wish, you can change the colours (maybe to fit in with home décor or a favourite colour), change the silhouettes (if applicable) or add extra details. We just love it when people get creative but we are equally as happy when people stick to the set piece. It’s totally your choice. At the end of the evening you will have a painting that you love to take home and cherish.
We supply everything you need to paint including a 20” by 16” stretched canvas, quality acrylic paints and brushes, paint palette, water pot and apron.
This event will start promptly at 1:00pm and run to around 4pm. Cafe available to buy snacks and drinks (please do not bring your own) as well as a lovely gift shop.
For every ticket sold, we will donate £4 to the Essex Wildlife Trust to support wildlife conservation.
As a minimum, please arrive 10 minutes early to book in and grab a drink from the Cafe or come earlier and have lunch.
Old clothing is recommended just in case there are any accidents with the acrylic paints. Aprons will be provided. We will be taking photos throughout the event for our website and social media. Please advise us if you do not wish to be featured in these photos.
Whilst our events are aimed at adults, this venue is family friend and therefore older children are welcome to come paint with their parent(s) or guardian(s).
