Late autumn has always been a time of gathering in, of finishing the harvest, preparing for winter and beginning to conserve rather than constantly produce. Autumn Exhale takes its cue from that seasonal rhythm, creating an evening in which we can soften the pace too. You’re invited to spend 75 minutes exploring seasonal restorative yoga, aromatherapy and deep rest, with a practice created especially for this point in the year.
Together we’ll move through a small number of deeply supported restorative postures, using bolsters, blankets and props so that we can stay for a little longer and allow the body to properly settle. Along the way, we’ll explore carefully chosen essential oils and aromatic practices that complement the season, with plenty of time for stillness and a long final rest.
This is less about doing yoga and much more about creating the conditions for rest - allowing ourselves, just for an evening, to follow some of the same cues we see in the natural world around us.
Autumn Exhale is the first of two Subtle Medicine seasonal restorative sessions this autumn and winter, followed by Wintering in December. Each session can be enjoyed on its own, or you can join us for both and follow the season from autumn into winter.
No previous yoga experience is needed. Everything can be adapted to suit you, and all equipment will be provided. Just come warm, comfortable and ready to rest.
75 minutes · £16 per session · £28 when you book both
