Spend Saturday afternoon meeting new people at a relaxed autumn picnic in Hibiya Park, right in central Tokyo. Join Tokyo Expat Social Club for conversation, light snacks and an easy afternoon outdoors before winter arrives. 🍂
We’ll settle onto picnic sheets and spend a few hours chatting together. Move between conversations, join an optional game or simply relax with a drink. There’s no formal networking, no icebreakers and no structured programme.
Most TESC attendees come alone, including many people joining their first event. You don’t need to know anyone beforehand or be particularly outgoing. We’ll help you get settled when you arrive, and you can join in at your own pace.
The picnic is open to expats, Japanese locals, internationals, travellers, students, remote workers and anyone interested in making friends in Tokyo. Whether you’ve just arrived or have lived here for years, you’re welcome to join us. We’re starting earlier to enjoy the daylight and finishing before the late-afternoon chill. Bring a warm layer, something you enjoy drinking and a little time to unwind.
