As Samhain nears and the veil thins, gather the coven for an evening of intuitive readings, energetic cleansing, community and, of course, expertly curated films, all presented by Chaos Magick! On the backlot you’ll find vendors and practitioners selling witchy wares and providing tarot readings, limpias, sound healing and reiki. Learn how to make your own sigil, build a container spell, and work with candle magick. Bring your friends and make some new ones.
Step inside for a series of films that run the gamut of occult storytelling and aesthetics: Häxan (1922), a silent film exploring the history of witchcraft, demonology and satanism; The Craft (1996), the spectacular horror thriller-cum-high school melodrama has achieved cult-classic status not only for its goth-girl fashion and quintessential ’90s cool-kid cast; and finally Lords of Salem (2012), Rob Zombie’s visionary horror take on witches claiming retribution via a radio DJ and a mysterious box of trauma-triggering records.
Order a cocktail or mocktail from the night’s curated menu, stir in your intention, and engage in meaningful energetic exchange. So mote it be.
