Mara survived a brutal attack in her home that left her with 26 stab wounds. The Sound of Safety goes beyond the crime itself to explore what the public rarely sees—the emotional toll of criminal trials, the lasting effects of trauma, PTSD symptoms and coping strategies, and the complicated journey toward healing and forgiveness.
