We’re thrilled to welcome photographer and bestselling author Susan Kaufman to Bedford Books! She’ll be in conversation with her literary agent Kristin van Ogtrop to discuss her new book, Walk With Me New York: Holiday.
Susan's first book, Walk With Me New York, has been our bestselling coffee table book since Bedford Books opened. Susan and Kristin also hold a special place in Fran's heart—they all worked together at Time Inc., where Susan was Editor in Chief of PEOPLE StyleWatch, Kristin was Editor in Chief of Real Simple, and Fran served as President of Digital. This event feels like a wonderful reunion, and we're so excited to celebrate Susan's beautiful new book with all of you!

ABOUT SUSAN KAUFMAN
Susan Kaufman (@skaufman4050) is a photographer, founding editor-in-chief of Time Inc.’s People StyleWatch magazine, and the bestselling author of Walk With Me: New York and Walk With Me: Hamptons. Her photographs have appeared in numerous publications including Glamour, Hamptons Magazine, Country Living Magazine, and Australian Vogue. A former fashion director at Condé Nast Publications, she splits her time between her Greenwich Village apartment and her home in Amagansett, which she shares with her husband and their black Labrador, Sammy.
ABOUT KRISTIN VAN OGTROP
After earning her B.A. in English from the University of Virginia and her M.A. in English from Columbia University, Kristin began working in magazines as an assistant to the managing editor of Vogue. She subsequently worked at Premiere, Travel & Leisure, Vogue (again), and Glamour. In 2003, she was named editor in chief of Real Simple, a position she held until 2016. Along the way, she wrote for various publications, contributed essays to the books Child of Mine and The Bitch in the House, wrote "The Amateur" column for Time, and authored the book Just Let Me Lie Down: Necessary Terms for the Half-Insane Working Mom. In 2018, she began a new career as a literary agent at InkWell Management.
