Dr. Michael K. Gray is a globally minded strategist, executive coach, and public leader with more than twenty years of experience at the intersection of leadership, public policy, human capital development, and community impact. Michael's ability to translate complex political, organizational, and social challenges into practical strategies that drive results is widely respected.
Dr. Gray has served in senior leadership roles across federal, state, and local government, including as Senior Legislative Staff to a United States Senator and as District Director and Senior Advisor to Members of Congress, overseeing constituent services for more than 9 million residents. His work reflects a deep commitment to ethical leadership, stakeholder engagement, and service-driven governance, shaped early by mentorship from Congressman Donald M. Payne, Sr., and Congressman Donald M. Payne, Jr., and strengthened through decades of hands-on public service.
In addition to his government leadership, Dr. Gray brings a rare interdisciplinary perspective informed by experience in technology consulting, international advocacy, nonprofit leadership, and executive coaching. He has participated in U.S. congressional delegations and legislative exchanges across Asia, the Middle East, and the United States, and has led humanitarian initiatives that advance education and health in Africa and the Caribbean. Dr. Gray holds a Ph.D. in Human Capital Development from the University of Southern Mississippi, an MBA from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor's from Seton Hall University.
