For thirty years, ten deed boxes sat in my attic. Opening them was too painful, too full of difficult memories.Finally, in my 60th year, a publisher encouraged me to do what my parents had always wanted me to do — to write the story. But I knew it had to start at the beginning. That beginning is "A Legacy Forged".
I didn't expect my writing to generate a passion for Birmingham, its history and its people. I didn't expect one book to become a trilogy and then a whole series of novellas and short stories all based in Birmingham.
