Austin Person of Gear 2026Come celebrate Austin’s gear community and cheer on this year’s contestants!
Each November, Austin GEARS chooses a new Austin Person of Gear to represent the club and our community. Contestants are from the Austin metropolitan area, and judges join us from across the country.
Come out on November 1 to support the contestants and see who will represent Austin GEARS. The winner is encouraged to travel and promote Austin GEARS and positive self-expression, and may compete in IML, MIR, and other gear contests around the world.
The contest is open to queer women, men, nonbinary, and genderqueer individuals age 21 and older.
