Grab a drink of your choice, ask someone to dance a céilí, and join the session with some of the best musicians in Irish music! For the second year, we’ll be gathering for four glorious days of daytime classes and evening events in downtown Elkins, WV. Last year’s memorable broom dance at Big Timber Brewing, and Masters of Irish Music concert at the Arts Center, were something else. We are ecstatic to gather again for more of the same!Come and join us for Augusta Irish Retreat, November 12–15, 2026!
The Augusta Irish Retreat is organized a little differently than other Irish Music camps. Instead of learning tunes and technique from one teacher on your specific instrument for the whole event, students will take a variety of workshops from different teachers on different instruments. These workshops will cover topics like tune and song repertoire, stylistic nuances, ornamentation, and cultural context, while welcoming multiple instruments in the same classes. Students will leave with some great new tunes, but also a deeper understanding of the music they love.
