At Truvy’s beauty salon, the town’s sparkling social scene gathers under one roof – from the sharp-tongued Truvy and her unsure-but-ambitious assistant Annelle, to the eccentric millionaire Ouiser, the sweet-toothed Miss Clairee, and M’Lynn, whose daughter Shelby is about to marry a “good ole boy.” Between witty banter, outrageous antics, and plenty of gossip, the salon is the place where secrets are spilled and friendships are tested.
As humor gives way to heartbreak, the women confront life, love, and loss together, discovering strength, resilience, and the enduring power of community. Warm, witty, and deeply moving, this beloved comedy proves that even in tragedy, laughter and love can carry us through.
