Audition Notice: Uptown Scrooge: Abridged! This is not your traditional Christmas Carol. Created in 2016, Uptown Scrooge: Abridged! is heading downtown Columbus for the first time!

We are looking for kids ages 5–10 to be our finale angels who will be part of a choir of Christmas angels during the show’s high-energy holiday finale! This role is unpaid. We are looking for big, infectious energy and for kids who love to perform, move, play, and spread joy.
WHAT TO PREPARE
1. A Song - Learn and sing Jingle Bells!
You can accompany yourself with an instrument, sing a cappella, or even use two cups and the floor. Have fun with it! Kids will sing in groups and NOT have to sing by themselves.
2. Movement
We’ll do a little dancing together at the audition. Nothing complicated! We’re much more interested in your energy, willingness to play, be silly and ability to have fun.
PERFORMANCE DAYS - Saturdays, Dec. 5, 12 & 19
Showtimes: 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM
Call time: 12:15–4:30 PM
Location: MadLab Theatre in downtown Columbus
Food will be provided.
A designated adult will supervise the children during and between performances.
REHEARSAL SCHEDULE
Children will attend selected, age-appropriate portions of these rehearsals
Sunday, November 1 | 5:00–9:00 PM — Table read (optional)
Sunday, November 15 | 5:00–7:00 PM — Westerville
Friday, November 27 | Daytime, TBD — MadLab, downtown
Sunday, November 29 | 5:00–6:00 PM — Westerville
Thursday, December 3 | 7:00–8:00 PM — Westerville
Specific arrival and dismissal times for the children will be shared once the schedule is finalized. They will not necessarily attend every full rehearsal.
