Vintage Theatre is holding auditions for Dear Santa, by Norm Foster. A charming holiday play about a hardened teen who stows away to the North Pole to make sure her little brother gets his Christmas wish.CHARACTERS:
Santa
Algernon, Santa’s chief of staff
Bozidar, Santa’s foreman; speaks with a Russian accent
Octavia, Santa’s housekeeper
Lou Flapdoodle, a sleigh salesman; speaks with a Southern accent
Kit Bishop, ages 15-19, sings one solo.
Michael Bishop, Kit’s brother, ages 8-11
Ensemble of six elves, ages 9-13, boys/girls/non binary.
Seeking a variety of ages, ethnicities, and orientations. Those auditioning for Kit or the elves please come prepared with 1 holiday song of your choice. You may sing a cappella or with a recording. An accompaniment will NOT be provided. All auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
Auditions will be held Sept 28 and 29 at the Neenah Public Library from 6-8. Performances will be Dec 3-5. Please email director Michael Laskowski at [email protected] if you wish to read the script.
