Audio Flux debut of Circuit 08: Confection
With Maine Public
In partnership with Ragged Coast Chocolates and Transom with support from the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies.
Audio Flux is a home for short-form audio and bold storytelling. Join us for a listening party featuring the winners of Circuit 08 – three-minute audio works from around the world, all inspired by the theme “Confection.” Special guest and Circuit 08 creative partner, local Maine chocolatier Kate Shaffer (Ragged Coast Chocolates), will be on hand to respond to the stories with suggested chocolate pairings. The theme of the event is bite-sized audio stories with a hint of sweet! Reception (with chocolate, of course!) to follow.
Doors open at 4:30 and the program starts promptly at 5:00. There will be a Q&A opportunity at the end of the event followed by a reception.
Jalbert Commons is located on the second floor of Maine Public’s new Portland Studio at the corner of Cumberland Street and Elm Street in downtown Portland. Visitors can access Jalbert Commons via Maine Public’s main entrance at the corner of Cumberland and Elm or from the skybridge connected to the third floor of the Portland Public Garage. The Portland Public Garage is located at 315 Cumberland Avenue (with entrances also accessible via Preble Street and Elm Street).
