Hello Auckland Zoukers! Come join us at the AuckZouk DJ Labs on the third Friday of each month. This is an opportunity for our amazing Auckland DJs to try out new stuff, different playlists, and get creative, and test their ideas with a friendly crowd without the pressures and expectations of big socials and events, and it's a chance for you to experience something a bit different, and maybe try out your own playlist. There are no other rules apart from the music being Zoukable. We will typically have 1-3 DJs each night with a set they want to play. If you want to have a go, let us know. If we don't have anybody booked in advance on a particular night, it will just run as a regular practica with DJ Spotify and anybody is free to plug in their playlist.
The event is completely free and we just ask that you bring good vibes and an open mind, and give helpful feedback if this is sought by the DJ.
Location is 7/3 Pacific Rise, Near Sylvia Park mall, just on the opposite side of the Southern Motorway. There are some car parks on site, and more on Pacific Rise.
See you there!
Auckland Zouk was set up in 2020 by a group of passionate dancers to help promote Brazilian Zouk, inspire fellow dancers and support the Auckland Brazilian Zouk community group. We are not affiliated with a specific dance school/studio, but support all teachers, DJs and others working to give back to the community. We have not been very active in the last couple of years, but that doesn't mean we can't again :)
