About this Event
A one-day event dedicated to tackling the growing challenges of vaccine disinformation and misinformation in Atlantic Canada. Join leading researchers, public health officials, and community voices as we explore the roots of vaccine hesitancy and chart a path forward to rebuilding public trust in immunization. This isn’t just a conversation – it’s a commitment to action.
This year’s theme will be “Connecting the Dots for Collective Action on Immunization,” and builds directly on last year's findings, drawing a clear line from vaccine-preventable disease to the outcomes that matter most to Atlantic Canadians:
- Relieving pressure on our healthcare system by increasing access & decreasing wait times
- Decreasing absenteeism, increasing presenteeism, & productivity in the workplace
- Attracting & retaining talent in a region competing for skilled workers
This is a shift from awareness to action: moving beyond why immunization matters, to how government, healthcare, employers, and community partners can work together to move the needle.
