Join us at Gaithersburg Regional Library [medium room 3] for an in-person Artist Trading Card [ATC] meet-up!The plan is to begin with introductions and sharing a bit about our art. Then, we'll trade cards. As of creating this event post [October 1], I'm not sure how many people will be attending, but I recommend bringing 5-10 cards for swapping. I will update this if there ends up being more folks interested in coming. The rest of the time is for mingling and/or working on new cards. I will bring a few different types of cut-to-size paper and regular pencils. You may bring whatever supplies you like (if you want to work on cards. You can just chat if you prefer).
If you're interested but aren't sure what an ATC is, here is some basic info↴
ATCs are small pieces of art, specifically 2.5x3.5in - the same size as most sports trading cards. People make cards in a multitude of mediums: ink, paint, markers, colored pencils, collage, woodburning, embroidery, needlefelt, etc. The only limitation is the size.
There will also be a little craft supply swap area where people can leave craft supplies they don't want and pick up new ones.
Venue restrictions: The max capacity for this room in the library is 65 people. In terms of food/drink, the rule is light refreshments only (ex. water bottles and pre-packaged snacks).
