Waste Management (WM) is inviting Atascadero residents to take advantage of a weeklong FREE waste drop-off event, plus a FREE giveaway of one yard of compost!DROP-OFF LOCATION

(Entrance on Marquita Ave.)
DROP-OFF HOURS:
• Oct. 19-23 (Mon.-Fri.) | 7 AM – 4 PM
• Oct. 17 & 24 (Sat.) | 7 AM – 3 PM
TO PARTICIPATE, YOU MUST:
✔️Be an Atascadero residential customer
✔️Bring a photo ID + a Waste Management bill with a matching address
✔️ Use a personal vehicle or truck (no trailers with personal trucks)
✔️ Small trailers (about the size of a pickup bed) are allowed with personal vehicles
ACCEPTED ITEMS:
• Household items such as sofas, chairs, rugs, mattresses, washers/dryers, trash & recyclables
• Rocks and similar materials (loose items must be bagged)
• Scrap metal (please keep separate)
• Yard debris, including leaves & large branches (up to 6 inches in diameter or 4 feet in length)
ITEMS THAT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED:
• Appliances containing freon
• Commercial construction or landscape debris
• Electronic or hazardous waste
• Tires

Chicago Grade Landfill

• Electronic Waste: Monday - Saturday, 7:30 am - 3 pm
• Hazardous Waste: Saturdays only | 11 am - 3 pm
