About this Event
Chill out with some creative vibes, nature talks, and good convo in a cozy, artsy hangout.
As London prepares for the annual spectacle of the Chelsea Flower Show, a more intimate and quietly enchanting experience awaits just a short stroll from Sloane Square. Tucked inside a Georgian townhouse in Pimlico, At Amy’s – Creatively… offers a thoughtfully curated gathering where artistry, nature, and conversation intertwine.
This event invites guests to step into a welcoming domestic setting hosted by founders Amy Eld and Lisa Samos –
Amy, celebrated for sourcing heirloom antiques and sustainable decorative pieces, and Lisa, whose arts career spans diverse creative partnerships.
11:30am Coffee & Introduction
Rae Wilkinson – Garden & Landscape Designer
Rae is an award-winning garden and landscape designer with nearly thirty years of experience and an RHS Gold Medal to her name. She is known for her elegant, ecologically sensitive gardens. Drawing on a background in sculpture, she offers a distinctive perspective on outdoor design, blending naturalistic planting with contemporary form. Her talk will include reflections on her work at the Chelsea Flower Show, along with the opportunity for guests to seek advice on their own garden projects.
At 12:30pm, a light lunch is served, courtesy of the much-loved local café Birley.
1:00pm Introduction & Demonstration
Lisa Duncan – Kokedama & Japanese Tea
The afternoon shifts gently into a more meditative mode with Lisa, whose multicultural background—rooted in Japanese heritage and a Hawaiian upbringing—infuses her creative practice. Drawing inspiration from Japanese traditions of the Edo period, Lisa introduces guests to the art of kokedama, the delicate craft of creating moss-bound plant sculptures.
Through Lisa’s demonstration participants will learn the step-by-step process, from shaping soil and binding roots to applying moss, all while exploring themes of mindfulness, sustainability, and the beauty of imperfection. The session is complemented by a tasting of Japanese teas to complete the immersive and sensory nature of the experience.
In a week dominated by grand floral displays in Chelsea, At Amy’s – Creatively… offers something quieter yet equally enriching: a chance to slow down, learn from masters of their craft, and rediscover creativity in a deeply personal way.
Guests will leave with a curated goody bag—a small reminder of connections designed to inspire.
