Ring in the new year with AoT East Bay! Our next event in the East Bay will be hosted at Two Pitchers Oakland (2344 Webster St, Oakland, CA 94612; just a few minutes’ walk from the 19th St BART station) on Tuesday, January 13 at 7:30 pm.This month, we have two excellent talks lined up: Dr. Stephen Bailey (LBNL) will tell us how we make 3D maps of the Universe. Then we’ll have a talk from Dr. Nick Rodd (LBNL) about the heaviest and lightest particles in the Universe!
Two Pitchers is all ages and pet friendly, and just a few minutes’ walk from the 19th St BART station. Our space is “outdoor” but covered from inclement weather and heated. Free to attend – can’t wait to see you there!
Our FREE Astronomy on Tap events feature accessible, engaging science presentations on topics ranging from planets to black holes to the beginning of the Universe. There is always lots of time to ask questions and interact with the presenters and other scientists who inevitably stick around for the beer.
Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to get updates on future events!
