About this Event
Knits not looking neat? There there, don’t despair! Come get your knitwear repaired…at the Depot ! In our two hour clinic students will assess, diagnose, and fix problems on their own knitwear and woolens - including learning how to repair sweaters, scarves, and socks.
The exact skills covered will depend on the variety of knitwear participants bring to class. As such students are strongly encouraged to supply their own damaged knits and woolens for mending - though no one will be turned away for a lack of tatterdemalion threads.
No knitting skills required! This class is suitable for children age 10 and up with a paying accompanying adult.
Instructor Cirrus Wood is a self-taught artisan who enjoys coming up with and learning new techniques to make clothing more visually appealing and more durable. He runs the mending and tailoring business Dollars & Yen which came about after years of casually combining elements of both Japanese and American design in his own wardrobe.
