Assorted Sporks is a free, queer friendly regular poetry and performance night at Mamma Chen's on Thursday November 5thFeaturing; Ricky Atkins

"Ricky Atkins started his journey as a stand up comedian, but not long after he first started performing, he was lured by a pack of evil poets to the dark side. Ever since his descent into poetic villainy, he's been doing open mics and exposing the innocent masses to such dangerous ideas as queer pride, self acceptance, and sex positivity.
This will be his first feature, and given he has been piloting the same flesh vessel for 29 years, he chose a topic which reflected this. The latest cog in his dastardly plan is to evilly give voice to people's varied experiences with piloting their own flesh vessels, positive, negative and everything in between, and to speak on his own experiences with having a body.
Themes are not mandatory, they are just to encourage you to experiment with your writing and improvisation. Feel free to make it weird.
You don’t have to register or get a ticket but it is helpful for numbers, do contact us on the Assorted Sporks instagram if you have any questions.
