Glaucoma remains one of the leading causes of irreversible vision loss, yet many patients present with subtle or ambiguous signs long before a definitive diagnosis can be made. This course equips clinicians with a practical framework for evaluating patients who fall into the "glaucoma suspect" category — helping you make more confident decisions about monitoring, treatment, and referral.

Join Jenna Hoiland, OD, FAAO (moderated by Bethany Li, OD, FAAO) of Northwest Eye Surgeons Renton, for a comprehensive review of the key risk factors and clinical findings that inform a glaucoma suspicion workup, including:

• Case History — identifying demographic, familial, and medical risk factors
• Intraocular Pressure — normal ranges, diurnal fluctuation, corneal thickness, and testing methods
• Anterior Segment Evaluation — angle assessment, pigment dispersion, pseudoexfoliation, and other structural findings
• Optic Nerve Appearance — neuroretinal rim characteristics, cup-to-disc ratio, and RNFL/ganglion cell OCT interpretation
• Visual Field Testing — recognizing true glaucomatous defects versus masked or false-positive findings
• Referral Best Practices — what to include when referring a patient for further evaluation
