Assemblage Art Workshop: Objects in Conversation
Info: Hosted and facilitated by mixed-media artist Tarshire Battle, the first session introduces assemblage art through examples, discussion, and hands-on material exploration. Participants will examine how everyday objects carry their own history and identity. After a studio-safety demonstration, participants will experiment with found materials, learn composition principles, and prepare the foundation and construction plan for their final artwork.

Info: The second session focuses on constructing and completing each assemblage. Participants will learn safe joining and fastening techniques, attach their selected materials, revise their compositions, and strengthen their artwork's stability. Each participant will write a brief reflective statement and may share their completed piece during a supportive conversation with classmates.
