About this Event
This interactive education series is designed to introduce participants to American Sign Language (ASL), Deaf culture, visual communication, and meaningful accessibility.
Rather than focusing only on memorizing signs, sessions explore the cultural, social, and communication aspects of Deaf communities and provide participants with practical strategies they can use when communicating with Deaf, hard-of-hearing, and other individuals who rely on visual communication.
The goal is to move beyond simply learning how to sign and toward understanding how communication, accessibility, and inclusion can be approached differently when language is visual.
