Hi, I am Shirley, and the person behind Belle of the Bowel, now offering nurse-led colonic hydrotherapy at Liberated Life in Bingley.
After years working in nursing, health and wellbeing, people always have lots of questions about their bowels… and very few places where they feel comfortable enough to ask and really discuss freely.
Constipation. Bloating. IBS symptoms. Laxative use. That sluggish, uncomfortable feeling. Preparing for or returning from a wellness retreat. Starting a health reset. Or what I hear alot is, “I’ve always thought about having a colonic,”. Maybe it’s never been the right time, not been sure, or not found the right practitioner or thinking you may feel embarrassed.
Nothing is embarrassing here and if you’re new to colonic treatments and curious as to whether it’s right for you, I’m here to answer your questions and help you feel completely at ease.
My treatments aren’t simply about a clear out & a ‘wash and go’, they’re about education, excuse the pun but the ‘bog basics’. Sharing the knowledge and understanding a little more about this body that transports us about and gets put through the wringer to lesser or greater degrees during different periods of our life.
Every appointment is personal and nurse-led, giving you time to talk about what’s happening, your bowel habits and lifestyle, ask all those questions you’ve never quite known who to ask, and leave with practical knowledge you can take forward.
And sometimes it’s simply about stepping off life’s treadmill for a little while and doing something for you.
You’ll find Belle of the Bowel tucked away inside Liberated Life, Bingley, a lovely little hub of health, wellbeing and brilliant people.
For those who would like to add to their treatment experience, a relaxing 25-minute Full Spectrum Sauna session can also be incorporated where suitable.
