Imperfect Ally is a sharp, hilarious, and thought-provoking stand-up show about how the most sensitive topics are treated insensitively amongst friends. Through funny stories about family, friendship and sharp observations, the show explores allyship, democracy, second-generation immigrant identity, queerness, neurodivergence, and is an honest snapshot of what it feels like to navigate the world as a progressive today.
Ashwyn Singh is stand up comedian and writer known for blending incisive humour with heartfelt social commentary. Drawing from his own experiences, he explores themes of cultural identity, belonging, and family with warmth, wit, and authenticity.
His comedy takes on topics including immigration, spirituality, civic life, mental health, and global conflict, exposing the contradictions of human behaviour while finding laughter in the unexpected places.
